This week my hubby started his 7/10 hour days for the next 5 weeks of work. Poor thing will ask me every few days what is today again? He gets confused working everyday, I don't blame him I would too. I'm so excited my sister-in-law has a name picked out for the new wheeler baby. Elijah Gene Wheeler, I have to get started on his special present Aunt Katie is making for him. I have a lot of stuff to keep me busy this next month or so. Plus I'm having Christmas at our house this year, I have to plan for that. It is going to be fun with both families getting together. We are going to try to incorporate both my family, and Stephens families traditions. I know one tradition that we are going to keep, it is my favorite. My family opens all the presents one at a time youngest to oldest, or oldest to youngest just to see what everyone has. I'm not sure what Stephens favorite family tradition is? When we did Christmas last year with his family it seem to be chaos everywhere, but fun chaos. We will see what happens.

Pumpkin carving
Saturday when we got back from the corn maze, we went to carving our pumpkins. Stephen and I sat in complete silence for almost 45 min with the occasional sighing, because it was not the way we wanted the pumpkins to look. Pumpkins are nasty inside with all that stringy stuff. They are really hard to get cleaned out. We were going to have a competition to see whose was the best, but since there are only two of us we decided that both were a master piece.

Corn maze
We had a little get away this past weekend before, Stephen started his outage at work. We stayed at the Embassy Suites down town Friday night. We got to just relax with each other and, with out cell phones, we turned those things off. Saturday we got up to head out to a corn maze it was so much fun to get lost in corn. We also got to play with a corn shooter it was a loud thing. Stephen said he was going to make one for us. haha He could if he wanted to, he is very crafty like that. After we left the corn maze we went looking for a pumpkin patch down the road that I had seen on our way there. Apparently we passed it up, we never found it, so we just went to wal-mart to get one.

Fiddlers
This weekend was full of good times. I was so happy when Amanda came down to spend the whole entire weekend with us. Friday nigh
t was the fiddlers convention. This is where people all over the south come each year to compete in there choice of Banjo, Mandolin, Dobro, Guitar, Old time singing, and my personal favorite buck dancing. People from ages 3 to 90 buck dance. Like this guy who is wearing the silly socks he is 84 and he still can buck dance with the best. There are also lots and lots of arts and crafts to choose from. Saturday was my Mary Kay make-up party that was so much fun. We girls all got made up and tried different kinds of products to make you feel beautiful in side, and out. Not to mention all the make-up we got to play in. Mrs. Kay did a wonderful job with the party.
